ABOUT US
​Qing Wei Lion and Dragon Dance Cultural Troupe was established in 2018 in Orange County, California. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the troupe aims to provide stellar performances and educate the Western world on the importance of this tradition.

Through kung fu, lion dance, and dragon dance, Qing Wei aspires to bring together neighbors, friends, and family, ​to celebrate culture and community. ​

OUR MEMBERS
Our troupe is comprised entirely of full time students, workers, and volunteers who care deeply about preserving our traditional arts and uplifting this aspect of our culture in the Western Hemisphere. With this mission in mind, none of our performers do this full time. This can best be described as a passion project between our members whom volunteer time out of their day to learn, train, and perform, all while balancing their full time studies or work.
YOUTH PROGRAM
In 2022, our troupe was proud to present an opportunity for the younger generation to become the future leaders of our community. Our traditional kung fu academy was a program started by our senior members in order to involve the youth, not only through the experience of athleticism and teamwork, but also to share our passion in the preservation of our culture and traditions.
